Feitian Education is an Australian local online education company that provides tutorials for international students studying at top Australian universities. With stressful graduation rates in top universities, international students were seeking additional resources to improve their academic grades. Graduates with high-performance academics understood these challenges and created a forum where other students could access a variety of resources to aid their understanding and learning of university course material in the form of lesson plans, study guides and online courses.
I was the lead UI designer to deliver concept and UI design for both the mobile app and desktop website.
Business Goal
FEIT Education had initially aided a small group of international students exclusively in a face-to-face environment. Due to the pandemic and wide-scale demand, there was a need to offer an online system that could cater for a much larger group of students. This was appealing particularly for remote students. The client wanted a subscription-based platform built to support the commerce of various courses and/or course bundles.
Challenges
Build a customer portal for students as well as a management admin portal.
Support online videos and download lessons.
Build a filter to allow users to filter out each university and their particular major and courses.
Customise verification system for university students.
Customise device verification and prevent hot-linking.
Understood and figure out the relationship between customers, courses, orders, and payments, defined a clear and easy-to-use subscription checkout flow and interface.
Integrated with 3rd parties to support multiple payment gateways.
Implemented browser fingerprint for device verification.
